Here's how to apply:

2) Fill it out and send it in to the Habitat Office at P.O Box 2836 Kalispell 59903
1. Need:
- The family's living conditions need to be considered substandard.
- Can the family afford a house without Habitat's assistance?
- Does the family's total income fall within the income guidelines listed below?
Sources of income that are considered in the review include:
- Employment income from all adult family members.
- Social Assistance.
- Spousal and child support.
- Child Care supplements.
- Pensions.
- Disability income.
2. Ability to pay for the house:
- A partner family makes mortgage payments, including insurance and taxes, of approximately 25 to 30% of gross income per month. This payment does not include utilities.
- After moving into their house, the family is responsible for mortgage payments, utilities and all household and maintenance expenses.
3. Willingness to partner:
- Habitat works closely with each partner family through the selection process and during construction. It will coordinate courses and workshops to prepare families for home ownership.
- A partner family demonstrates their willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity by completing the required hours of sweat equity (volunteer labor), working alongside other volunteers, helping to build their own house and other Habitat houses, and working on related Habitat projects.
